  1. What is Vaginismus and How is it Treated?


    It is the involuntary contraction of the vaginal muscles during sexual intercourse. It can be treated with psychotherapy and pelvic muscle relaxation exercises.

  2. At What Age Does Menopause Begin and What Are Its Symptoms?


    It usually begins between the ages of 45 and 55. Hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings and vaginal dryness are the most common symptoms.

  3. Is Hormone Therapy Safe During Menopause?


    Hormone therapy may be recommended on a case-by-case basis under the supervision of a doctor. However, caution should be exercised due to the risk of breast cancer and vascular occlusion.

  4. What Causes Pain During Sexual Intercourse (Dyspareunia)?


    Vaginal dryness can be caused by infections or psychological causes. Moisturizers and therapy can be helpful.

  5. How Often Should Cervical Cancer Screening Tests Be Performed?


    Pap smear test is recommended every 3 years starting at age 21, and every 5 years after age 30, together with the HPV test.
